"It is hard to put into words the transformation that has happened in our classrooms. Last August, I was a bit leery about the unknowns of this project. Today, I cannot even begin to imagine not using this technology. Together, my students and I have been able to learn how to incorporate this incredible tool into our daily routine. Students do writing, presentations, and research. They can practice math facts, play learning games, and even take tests. Nearly every lesson every day incorporates some aspect of technology. We are all able to collaborate by sharing documents. We can communicate through my Weebly web page and Google Classroom. The best part is that students are taking the lead in their learning experience. They are actively engaged in activities, and love the responsibility of taking care of their Chromebook... Thank you again for investing in our students and their future." - Mary Bengry, 5th Grade Teacher at Cherry Creek School Judy Vonck, of the MAPS Education Foundation, took some time to visit Cherry Creek 5th grade classrooms, Mary Bengry, Kelsey Wales and Jennifer Escamilla last week to check-out current projects and share the photos here. |
